Wrestling is for Boys!

The boys have started wrestling this past month and sure are having fun. At first we were only going to have Dallas wrestle but then when we got to the first match and found out they have a pre-kindergarten group we decided to have Korbin wrestle too. They both love it. Korbin is hilarious to watch because he is not quite sure of what he is doing. He is also the youngest kid wrestling because most of the kids in his group will start kindergarten next fall and he has another whole year to wait. This past match on Saturday Korbin wrestled a girl for his first match and did pretty good. He didn't get pinned (which is what usually happens) but she beat him by points. He doesn't even care that he loses, he is just having fun. Gage has been working really hard with Dallas and Dallas has got to be pretty good. He won his first match on Saturday by points and was really excited. Gage wrestled in high school so he is just loving being able to help at the practices and be involved with the boys meets and know what is going on. I imagine this is one sport that we will be involved in for a long time.

Happy Halloween!

The kids had a great time trick or treating and ended up with way too much candy. I took them around to see Grandmas and Grandpas earlier in the day and then Gage took them trick or treating that night. Kira didn't even get her costume on that night. She had fallen asleep when we left to go to see grandmas and grandpas and I didn't even bother to put it on her. Shows that she is the fourth child uh. Anyways, everybody had a good time and eventually I will put Kira's costume on and take at least one picture. We had already had it on for a Halloween party the week before and she hated it. This year we were also able to go to the Staheli Corn Maze/Farm for a family night with Aaron and Brandy and the kids it was a lot of fun. Dallas and Korbin love hanging out with Preston and Trinity gets along really well with the girls. Overall we had a great Halloween, it sure would be nice if it could be on Saturday every year.

Kira's Blessing

The first part of October we had the opportunity to bless Kira. It was great to have the support of all our family and friends. My mom made her blessing dress it was so pretty. It is pretty special to our family because we were able to use some crocheted lace that my great grandmother crocheted when she was alive. My grandma has kept the lace and we have been able to use it on our girl blessing dressed. When we first did Trinity's dress, I was a little worried about how it would turn out, but in the end I loved it. So I knew that I would want my mom to make Kira's dress too. The dress ended up being longer than my mom was expecting so she shorted it a bit the week before the blessing. I think it turned out perfect. Thanks for a beautiful dress mom!

Kira - 7 wks Old Already

I can't believe she is already 7 weeks old, time has gone by way to fast. I went back to work yesterday so that has been quite an adjustment for me. I am having a really hard time getting back on a schedule. Kira has done excellent at the babysitter. I was so lucky to find someone in my ward who lives really close to watch her who is wonderful. It makes is so much easier to go to work knowing she is in excellent hands. Hopefully soon we can get on more of a schedule so I am not going to bed at midnight and not making it to work until 10am.

September is Almost Over!!!

I can't believe September is almost over. I am so not looking forward to that because that means I have to go back to work. I have to say I have enjoyed being home and am not looking forward to having to get myself back on a schedule. Gage thinks I am crazy cause it takes me so long to get myself and the baby ready to go anywhere but that is just how it is having a newborn, you do everything on their schedule. Anyways, these pics are from the Rodeo Parade. Trinity's and Dallas's school was walking in the parade so Trinity decided she wanted to pull Korbin in the wagon. What she didn't realize is that it was like a 7 block walk and it was about 102 degrees outside, she was so tired by the end. But I think they had a good time, even if they wouldn't smile at me in the picture. Trinity must have had fun, cause she decided to walk with her grandma in the parade the next day. She had fun handing out candy and balloons with Grandma Benson. Dallas, Korbin and I enjoyed this parade from the sidelines gathering up candy. Then we all enjoyed the rodeo that night where I am sure it was the first time ever that it started to rain on us at the rodeo. The wind picked up and the rain was seriously coming down sideways. The kids were complaining about being cold so the blankets we were sitting on quickly became our shields from the wind and rain. The rain didn't last too long thank goodness so we still all had a good time. Gage volunteered to stay home with the baby so they hung out at home watching movies.

More Pics of Kira!

Kira's First Bath

Gage and Korbin got to give Kira her first bath. Korbin was so excited he had to sit right up on the counter next to her little bath tub so he could see what Gage was doing. Then he got to help put lotion on her tummy, he thought it was great. Korbin has been a really good helper with Kira and loves to hold her.
